I want to be able to register many variants of a library in the CMake User Package Registry to support multiple platforms for cross platform development and find_package automatically selects the most appropriate variant.
This doesn't appear possible with the *ConfigVersion.cmake file created by the write_basic_package_version_file macro.
Is there a reason why it checks CMAKE_SIZEOF_VOID_P but doesn't check CMAKE_SYSTEM_NAME and CMAKE_SYSTEM_PROCESSOR?
cmake
