Organized in 1854, The Puyallup School District was the third school district formed in the state of Washington. [1] It is the 8th largest school district in Washington. The District has twenty-one elementary schools, seven junior high schools, three senior high schools and an alternative school, together which serve over 22,000 students. A new southwest elementary school named Dessie Evans Elementary is currently being built on 144th St E and 86th Ave E in South Hill.
