I have built a simple chrome extension to help me with getting some hands-on experience while learning to code. People are starting to complain about performance, which is great because it gives me another area to explore and learn about.
I started by exploring the chrome dev tools and found something concerning... The main index.html appears to have a 'content-download' time of 15hours. Now, I know the page is not taking 15hrs to download, but what could be causing this?
The extension is a simple new tab app that plays a video file that loops when a user opens a new tab.

It's just a display bug in new Chrome, it doesn't affect performance, see crbug.com/935247. Just in case, various performance debugging tutorials can be found in the official devtools documentation.
