Is there any chance to catch back to previous page page in ASP.NET Core?
My aim is to create a filter that will remember where the user was. I dont wanna passing models
just know the url
If in some reasons user want to back to previouse page, and there was a form with post method is naturaly that he will see some information from browser like do you want reload the form
or we dont have data in cache. you need to reload page
.
In those cases my filter will catch the event back to previouse page and go somewhere else - error page, to blank form etc...
The above filter run after pop up with you have to reload forme
not before
[WhereHaveYouBeenAttribute]
public ViewResult Create()
return View(RouteUrl.Edit, new TestModel());
[WhereHaveYouBeenAttribute]
public IActionResult Edit(TestModel tm)
if (ModelState.IsValid);
return RedirectToAction(RouteUrl.List);
else
return View(tm);
}
public class WhereHaveYouBeenAttribute : ActionFilterAttribute
public override void OnActionExecuted(ActionExecutedContext filterContext)
//do something
base.OnActionExecuted(filterContext);
c# asp.net-core

AFAIK there is no built-in way to achieve this one solution could be to use the user session/ cache and to store each time the request URL
