I want to know how to update GPO on the Current Machine using PowerShell So I wrote the following line but it did not work

GPupdate /Force

Also I used the following .bat script that calls the script that contains GPupdate /Force

@echo off PowerShell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File "c:pathtofilescript.ps1"

  • That is the command, so what exactly does not work?

  • you can use Invoke-GPUpdate, but the gpupdate command works perfect. I think you have a problem with your Group Policy.

  • If I update manually the Groupolicy using cmd ,the GPO is well updated.

  • should I indicate the GPO name with the command or not?because in my situation ,I've created a new OU ,a new GPO linked to the OU and then moved the user to the new OU
