About the Company
Established in 1985 as a specialty manufacturer that focused on surge protection and related equipment primarily for the telecom industry, Circa has since expanded its product offering. In 2004, the company has added Circa Metals, its manufacturing operations in Ontario to supply products to the Canadian electrical sector, as well as Hydel in Ontario, to provide custom metal fabrication services. The Company acquired Alberta Computer Cable in 2015 and Guardian Telecom in 2017.
Circa has operations in Calgary, Alberta (headquarters and Telecom), Vaughan, Ontario (Metals), Tampa, Florida, and China.
Circa is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, symbol CTO.[1] Circa is an ISO 9001:2008 Registered Company.
Divisions
The company's key subsidiaries include Circa Telecom, Circa Metals, and Hydel Enterprises. Circa Telecom is the company's oldest division, dating back to the company's inception in 1985. In 2002, Circa acquired AOK Custom Metals, a custom metal fabricating operation located in Markham, Ontario, renaming it Circa Metals.[2] In 2004, Circa Metals acquired Scarborough, Ontario based Hydel Enterprises Ltd, a manufacturer of electric and gas meter products, from Electric & Gas Technology Inc.[3] In 2006, Circa consolidated the operations of Hydel and Circa Metals in a new 99,000-square-foot (9,200 m2) manufacturing facility located in Vaughan, Ontario.
Financial
Circa Enterprises Inc. was incorporated as a private company in Canada in 1985 and began trading publicly in 1988. Today, the company's stock is traded on TSX Venture Exchange (CTO).
