I spent the last hours trying to figure out how to use the OAuth protocole from Scoop.it (with my personal account) in my own NodeJS app. I don't get how OAuth works, especially without the whole credential modal thing. Everything I read is either about setting up an OAuth server or using credential prompts to ask users of my app for authorization. My case is however different.
My NodeJS app will always be connected to just one Scoop. It account (my own), and I'm looking for an easy way to automatically authenticate and fetch data from the API.
I registered an app from my Scoop. It dashboard, and here are the infos I have :
- My Consumer Key (I suppose this is the "client key" I keep reading about)
- My Consumer Secret
- Request Token URL: https://www.scoop.it/oauth/request
- Authorize URL: https://www.scoop.it/oauth/authorize
- Access Token URL: https://www.scoop.it/oauth/access
- (And of course my credentials)
How can I do this ? Thank you.
(Note : Scoop. It forces to use HMAC_SHA1 or RSA_SHA1 signature methods)
javascript node.js api oauth oauth-2.0
