I have to modify some phone number in the AD.

here is what I'm trying to do.

$test1 = get-aduser -filter * -Properties * | Select-Object SamAccountName,OfficePhone | Sort-Object -Property SamAccountName | Where-Object $_.OfficePhone -match "xxx-xxx-xxxx"

this is the output :

SamAccountName OfficePhone
-------------- -----------
user1 xxx-xxx-xxxx,ext

so i want to replace

$test1 -replace 'xxx-xxx-xxxx','newphonenumber'

but the output looks like :

@SamAccountName=user1; OfficePhone=newphonenumber,ext

then when i try to select-object OfficePhone the value is empty.
