I have a datatable that is populated with JSON data via AJAX. The data returns a pivoted SQL table with a weeks worth of dates as column names. I am trying to display these in the datatable, and I cannot get it to populate. The columns that do not have dynamic names are working correctly. I have tried using the column index in the data field, but it does not seem to work. Here is the column definition in the datatables initialization:
"columns": [
"targets": 0,
"data": "JOB",
"width": "20%",
"render": function ( data, type, row, meta )
var $select = $("<select id='<select id='JOB' name='JOB[]' class='form-control select2_field'> <option value=''</option> @foreach (AppModelsActivejob::all()->where('JobActive', '=', 'Active')->sortby('JobName') as $row) <option value=' $row->JobName '> $row->JobName </option> @endforeach </select>");
$select.find('option[value="'+row.JOB+'"]').attr('selected', 'selected');
return $select[0].outerHTML;
,
"targets": 0,
"data": 5,
"width": "5%",
"render": function ( data, type, row, meta )
return "<input id='DURATION' name='DURATION[]' placeholder='' class='form-control input-md' type='number' min='0' step='0.5' value='" + data + "'>";
,
]
The name of the second column in this example is '2019-02-24', but it will change with each AJAX request. It is column #5 in the JSON response. Anybody have any ideas?
