First time poster and complete novice to NetLogo! I have loaded GIS property data and would like to create turtles and have 1 assigned to a property each. I have tried to do this using my turtles-own variables (see below).
residents-own [residents-property]
Then i use the property-enter procedure to move them into a random house that is loaded using GIS extension.
to enter-property
set residents-property random 23545
move-to residents-property
ask residents-property [
set propertys-resident one-of residents-here with [residents-property = myself]
]
end
When i call the procedure i get the following error:
"TURTLES breed does not own variable RESIDENTS-PROPERTY error while
turtle 30421 running SET called by procedure PROPERTY-ENTER called
by procedure SETUP-RESIDENTS called by procedure SETUP called by
Button 'Setup'"
Can anyone please assist with this?
Kind regards,
David
