i Dynamically created options in some select element and want the option with value corresponding to a value i choose to display and be selected.
i wrote this:
function DisplayStateValue(params)
var StateSectionOptions = $("#pickup-states").children();
var value = params.toString();
$.each(StateSectionOptions, function()
if($(this).val() === value)
$(this).attr('selected', 'selected');
);
But it turned out the option was selected but is not displayed to let the user knoe its been selected. you only see the selected option in highlight when you open the select dropdown.
i need help in making the displayed option change to the newly selected option
