Delphi, Excel and Named Ranges

I have a spreadsheet that has used 'Named Ranges' to define all the cell locations that we need to process.
So I need to read and write values into these cells, referencing them by these named ranges.
Using the Office 2000 component that comes with Delphi, I've done this. (This is not precise working code, but it works up to the point of the question).
Excel components are declared as:
myxlApp: TExcelApplication;
myxlBook: TExcelWorkbook;
myxlApp.Connect;
myxlApp.Visible[LCID] := False;
fname := 'C:MyDataTest.xlsx';
myxlBook.ConnectTo(myxlApp.Workbooks.Open(fname,
EmptyParam , EmptyParam , EmptyParam , EmptyParam ,
EmptyParam , EmptyParam , EmptyParam , EmptyParam ,
EmptyParam , EmptyParam , EmptyParam , EmptyParam , LCID ));
j := myxlBook.Names.Count;
for i := 1 to j do
begin
sRangeName := myxlBook.Names.Item(i, EmptyParam, EmptyParam).NameLocal;
sVal := myxlApp.Evaluate(sRangeName).Text;
dmGenData.FinanceData.Add(sRangeName + '=' + sVal);
myxlApp.Names[sRangeName] := sVal;
//myxlApp.Names.Item(s, EmptyParam, EmptyParam].value := 'test';
end;
myxlBook.Disconnect;
myxlApp.Disconnect;
So
1.
The line:
sVal := myxlApp.Evaluate(sRangeName).Text;
works OK, but is pretty unsatisfactory as I was hoping for something like:
sVal := myxlBook.Names.Item(i, EmptyParam, EmptyParam).Value
I cannot find the syntax to write the value of a Named Range. I've tried various combinations of:
myxlApp.Names.Item(s, EmptyParam, EmptyParam].value := 'test';
but I can't find one that works.
Is this the right approach? Can anyone help me out?
