Our application which is deployed to 100's of sites began failing today with these messages. We tracked it down to the www.w3.org site no longer responding on port 80 (http). If we change the URL in the WSDL to use https for the xop schema files and restart the web server the issue is resolved.
The WSDL file is cached (typical time to live of 1 day). Once the expiration time is reached, the WSDL is re-parsed and the schema files are fetched and that's when we get the error.
Anyway we have a workaround but wondering how to resolve going forward. Our soap tool (gsoap) generates the wsdl file using http URLs. We tried contacting w3.org with no luck. Note browsers may do redirects for you so you can fetch the files via http successfully that way.
We may be forced to edit the generated WSDLs in our builds or perhaps capture those files for local delivery.
Any thoughts on this?
