Check out the syntax on line 14 and 16 in ~/.bashrc
and ~/.bash_profile
. Most probably, it's ~/.bashrc
as it's loaded on every terminal instance's startup. And make sure you don't have #!/bin/sh
on top. #!/bin/bash
is fine as sh
doesn't support latest bash
's syntax. However, it's redundant as it's automatically interpreted by bash.
