I've (partially ;-)) read the new 5.1 release and am very interested in the new position finding feature (AoA method). However, I didn't quite understand how the position value will be returned by the chipset, as I couldn't find any data field providing this value.
Has anyone here already played with a compatible chipset? Which reference? Any code sample to clarify my mind?
Thanks in advance for any help!

The chipset won't return the position. My understanding for Angle of Arrival is that it will simply tell you which antenna in the antenna array had the strongest signal (effectively telling you the Angle of Arrival). From this, it is up to the application developer to do the math to calculate a distance estimate based on the known geometry of where the receiver may be located relative to the transmitters. I have not played with a SoC with this 5.1 feature, but would also love to see somebody do a real-world demo and share code based one one.
