I have a build pipeline for a branch (lets say master for now). Whenever I do a pull request against this branch, my build runs twice, once for the pull branch (lets call it feature-foo), and once for the pull request. This happens as well when I update the branch for PR. I don't want it to build twice as it's taking twice as long to get to a "review" point in my pull requests since I have only 1 concurrent job.
Is there a setting in my azure-pipelines.yml where I can tell it that, if a branch is part of a pull request, only build the PR? I could do this in Appveyor and want to know the best option here.
I know I can tell it to only build on certain branches (e.g. master) but I would still like it to build a branch if it is not part of a PR, e.g. I'm working on feature-foo and I push changes but it's not part of a PR, I want it to build. If it's part of a PR, I don't want it to build both feature-foo and the PR, I just want it to build the PR.
Thanks, I know this may not be possible and the workaround is to just not build on feature branches but only on PRs. Couldn't find any relevant documentation after searching.
