I have a Desktop application that will create assemblies using the CodeDom. These often include some user-entered code snippets. At present it uses the .NET Framework CodeProvider, but I would like to upgrade it to use the Roslyn one in order that newer C# features may be supported.
I have read this information, and the discussion of how to configure paths to the compiler on the Roslyn GitHub page.
My questions are:
- Am I permitted to install Microsoft.CodeDom.Providers.DotNetCompilerPlatform.dll with my application?
- How do I go about distributing the compiler csc.exe?
