I have this code on the blade that is displaying for pagination correctly and The link created are correct http://test.com/index?page=2
, but only gets the first page.

You are using hire $customer but in link you you are used $customers,
$customer = Customer::where('flag',1)->orderBy('id','desc')->paginate(10);
change it as
$customers = Customer::where('flag',1)->orderBy('id','desc')->paginate(10);

You are using hire $customer but in link you you are used $customers,
