I have a controller that calls a function to get all categories. Now, I have specified a server timeout setting in the index.js
function findAllCategories(req, res)
categoryService.findAllCategories()
.then((data) => res.send(data); )
.catch((error) => console.log(error); );
But, even after the server is sending 408 after timeout, the controller thread is still running and I am getting this error.
Error: Can't set headers after they are sent.
app.use(function (req, res, next)
res.setTimeout(500, function ()
console.log('timeout call');
res.status(408).send( 'res': 'timed out' );
//res.end(408);
return;
);
next();
);
Is there a way to cut the controller thread as soon as the server timeout happens?
node.js express timeout response
